Tech is Taking Over: Week Six

Uncategorized Apr 14, 2025

For the past five weeks, we’ve shown up live, DaVonda St. Clair and I,—three times a week—to do something that most career advice skips over:

We made tech feel possible.
We made it approachable.
We made it yours.

"Tech is Taking Over – How to Secure Your Future and the Bag" was never about becoming a tech genius or learning how to code overnight. It was about understanding the world we're living in now—one where every industry, every job, and every dream is being reshaped by technology—and learning how to evolve with it.

We started with mindset.
We moved into practical skills.
We learned how to get visible, stay competitive, and build momentum.

And now, we’re here: Week 6. The final push.

This week isn’t about learning more.
It’s about using what you’ve already learned—and positioning it to work in your favor.

What’s Coming in Week 6

Day 15: Emergency Tech Tips to Make Yourself Indispensable at Work

If you’re a teacher, therapist, small business owner, or manager, this is your session.
Because you’ve already been using tech.

You’ve sent email campaigns, created Canva graphics, tracked goals in spreadsheets, automated booking links, and managed online orders.

But what you may not have done is:

  • Highlight it

  • Make it visible

  • Use it strategically to elevate your value

This session is about identifying one recurring task in your day that takes too much time or energy—and using a tool (like ChatGPT, Google Forms, or Trello) to streamline it.

The result? You become the person who saves time, brings solutions, and sets the standard.

Day 16: How to Turn the Tech Knowledge You Already Have Into a Career Opportunity

This is how we close the series—with a shift that’s both tactical and transformational.

Whether you want a new job, a promotion, or just more respect for what you bring to the table, this final session will help you:

  • Build your first piece of “proof of tech knowledge” (a screenshot, doc, video, or project idea)

  • Write your Tech Transition Statement—a simple, powerful way to explain where you’ve been and where you’re going

  • Share that value with your network, a mentor, or a potential employer

You don’t need to do more. You just need to show what you already know.

This is where your learning turns into visibility.
And your visibility becomes opportunity.

Why This Final Week Matters

You’ve come this far.
You’ve learned the tools, built the skills, and started shifting your mindset.

Now it’s time to finish the journey by showing the world what you’re capable of.

This week isn’t just about closing a chapter.
It’s about stepping into your next one—with clarity, confidence, and direction.
