You Started With Curiosity. You’re Walking Out With Clarity.

We made it to the final full week of the Tech is Taking Over live series with DaVonda St. Clair—and this one was different. It was such a great week!

This wasn’t about possibilities.
This was about proof.

Because by Week 5, I think we all realized:
 We've already had more tech knowledge than we thought
 We are more ready than we may feel
And with the right support, we can turn what we already know into real opportunity in the tech space

Day 12: The Real Secret to Transitioning Into Tech

Main Idea:
You don’t need to be perfect. You don’t need another degree.
You just need a strategy, some consistency, and the right mindset.

In this session, we helped people:

• Pick a realistic tech goal

• Create a 30-day micro plan

• Begin seeing themselves as tech-aligned professionals

Action Step:
Write your next 30-day goal and share it with a mentor, friend, or community.

Day 13: How to Use ChatGPT to Advance Your Tech Skills

Main Idea:
ChatGPT isn’t just an app—it’s a gateway to practicing skills, generating ideas, and building confidence.

This session made AI feel less intimidating and more empowering by teaching:

• How to write better prompts

• How to simulate real tasks (like drafting emails or job interview answers)

• How to start using AI as a career-building assistant

Action Step:
Use a prompt to create something useful in your field (email, outline, resume bullet, idea list) and save it to your “Proof of Work” folder.

Day 14: Here’s How to Actually Get in the Door in Tech

Main Idea:
All the learning in the world means nothing if no one sees it.
This final session gave people a 3-step plan to go from learner to hired.

• Pick one clear role

• Build a simple example or mini portfolio piece

• Start showing up online (or in DMs) with clarity

Action Step:
Write and post your “I’m learning [this skill]” update on LinkedIn—or text it to someone in your circle. Visibility is power.
