As parents and educators scramble to figure things out this year, I think it's important to highlight that what has been occurring lately in American schools- and what is set to occur in the fall- is Crisis learning.
However, there are ways to learn both in the classroom and virtually in a way that feels fulfilling, fun, and connected. I have taught virtually for 7 years and have learned a lot from teaching mainly Chinese, Japanese and Korean students. Today, I would like to highlight some ways that their parents have helped to further enrich the experience (Some I have translated into more American-centered approaches.) Sending loads of love!
