Do you know what it means to be an Ally

I don't think a lot of people know what it means to be an ally. Let me explain.
What I found is that the word "Ally" means to actually "bind to" and this excited me so much to have the words to express what people are NOT doing...
When you "bind to" something, you become a part of it. we should be fighting white supremacy and inequalities together as one.
This means, read all of the books and watch all of the diverse programs you want. But, if you are still separate from the issue, if you haven't attached yourself to the 'cause...then that's not being an ally.
